Japanese tests and visa applications

Passing a Japanese language test does not automatically guarantee approval of status of residence. For SSW, SSW2, work visas, employment, job changes, COE applications, and change of status applications, your background, employer, job duties, employment contract, and documents must also be reviewed carefully.

If you are considering SSW2 or a work visa in Japan, it is important to check your Japanese preparation, exam schedule, period of stay, and application timing early.

About listening questions: Listening questions on this website are original practice questions created by Tommy’s Legal Service. They do not copy official JLPT, JFT-Basic, or BJT questions, audio, or official test formats.
About the paid web mock exam: The JLPT N2 Practical Half Mock Exam Web Version is an original paid N2-level practice product created by Tommy’s Legal Service. It is not an official JLPT product. It does not guarantee passing the JLPT, approval of any residence status application, employment, or job change.
About the BJT 400 mini test: The BJT 400 Business Japanese Mini Test on this website is an original self-check mini test created by Tommy’s Legal Service. It is not the official BJT Business Japanese Proficiency Test.
