Tommy’s Legal Service provides paid 60-minute consultations for Japanese immigration procedures, status of residence applications, permanent residence, naturalization, foreign employment, Specified Skilled Worker matters, Registered Support Organization matters, and related international matters.

You can use this consultation to review your basic situation, identify the appropriate procedure, organize required documents, and confirm the next practical steps before making a formal request.

Scope of consultation

This paid consultation is intended for initial case review before formal engagement. It may be used to discuss immigration strategy, notices from the Immigration Bureau, possible status of residence options, required documents, and the overall direction of the case.

The consultation does not guarantee approval, permission, or any specific result. Preparation of application documents, statements of reasons, submission to the Immigration Bureau, and responses to additional document requests require a separate formal engagement.

Individuals and families

Extension of Period of Stay, Change of Status of Residence, Permanent Residence, Naturalization, Dependent, Spouse-related statuses, Temporary Visitor issues, and past application history.

Companies and employers

Hiring foreign nationals, Gijinkoku work visa, Specified Skilled Worker, Business Manager, status checks after job change, employer-side documents, notifications, extensions and changes.

Support organizations and referrers

Registered Support Organization matters, Specified Skilled Worker acceptance, case organization, document review, and role-sharing among the foreign worker, employer and referrer.

Consultation fee

Bank transfer JPY 6,600

Tax included. No online payment handling fee is added for bank transfer. Bank transfer fees charged by your bank are borne by the client. Bank account details will be provided in the automatic reply email after form submission.

Stripe card payment JPY 6,930

Tax included. This amount includes the JPY 6,600 consultation fee plus a 5% online payment handling fee. The Stripe payment link will be provided in the automatic reply email after form submission.

Important: Paid consultations must be paid in advance. Please submit the booking form first. After submission, an automatic reply email will be sent to the email address you entered. The email will include the Stripe card payment link and bank transfer details. The appointment will be confirmed after we confirm your payment.

Consultation

The 60-minute consultation will be conducted online or in person. If a formal engagement is required, we will provide a separate quotation.

What to prepare before the consultation

  • Your current status of residence, period of stay, and residence card information
  • The procedure you would like to discuss and your desired timing
  • Any notice from the Immigration Bureau, request for additional documents, or notice of refusal, if applicable
  • Employment contract, company documents, school documents, family relationship documents, or other relevant materials
  • Past application history, job change history, periods outside Japan, tax or social insurance issues, if relevant
Document review: If your consultation requires document review, please attach relevant documents through the form where possible. However, the amount of material that can be reviewed within a 60-minute consultation is limited. Large-volume document review, statement drafting, and application form preparation require a separate formal engagement.

Cancellation and important notes

  • A full refund is available if the cancellation is made at least 24 hours before the scheduled consultation start time.
  • No refund is available for cancellation within 24 hours, no-show, or after the consultation time has passed.
  • The consultation does not guarantee approval, permission, or any specific result.
  • Preparation of application documents, statements of reasons, immigration filing, and additional document responses require a separate formal engagement.
  • Depending on the matter, the consultation may fall outside the scope of Gyoseishoshi services or may not be handled by our office.
  • We may request additional documents if identity confirmation, document review, or confirmation of related parties is necessary.
