Consultations and Appointments

When is a paid consultation necessary?

A paid consultation is recommended when an individual assessment is needed, such as determining whether a status of residence applies, assessing the outlook for renewal or change of status, considering a strategy after refusal, handling a case close to the period of stay expiration date, or checking whether a Specified Skilled Worker case can proceed.

For matters that cannot be assessed without reviewing the relevant documents, we cannot provide a definitive answer through free messages alone.

How much is the consultation fee?

As a general rule, a 60-minute paid consultation is JPY 6,600 including tax. For Stripe card payment, an online payment fee of 5% is added, making the total JPY 6,930 including tax. Depending on the consultation details, the volume of document review, or urgency, a separate quotation may be provided.

Do I need to send documents before the consultation?

Please send available documents in advance to the extent possible. In particular, a residence card, employment contract, notice of working conditions, notices from the Immigration Services Agency, copies of previous application forms, refusal notices, and requests for additional documents can help make the consultation more effective.

It is not necessary to have every document ready at the beginning. Please first contact us with the information currently available.

Can I consult only through LINE, WhatsApp, or WeChat?

LINE, WhatsApp, and WeChat may be used as communication tools. However, many individual matters require document review, and it is generally not possible to make a definitive statement about approval prospects through messages alone.

The contact buttons for these tools are displayed in the common footer of the website. To avoid duplication within this page, the main body focuses on links to the inquiry form, paid consultation booking, and fee information.

Fees and Payment

Is a retainer required when I formally request services?

As a general rule, when you formally request our services, 50% of the professional fee is payable in advance as a retainer. The remaining balance is generally payable upon approval or before delivery of the completed work.

Are there costs in addition to the amounts shown in the fee table?

Actual expenses such as revenue stamps, government fees, postage, translation costs, certificate acquisition fees, and transportation expenses are generally charged separately. Additional fees may apply depending on case difficulty, additional explanations, travel to distant locations, or urgent handling.

Can I pay by card or online payment?

Online payment may be available for certain fees, such as consultation fees. For card or online payments, an amount equivalent to the payment processing fee may be added. For bank transfers, the bank transfer fee is borne by the client.

What happens to the fee if the application is refused?

The specific terms depend on the contract for each case. In general, a retainer corresponding to work already started may not be refundable. For a reapplication after refusal, it is necessary to analyze the reasons for refusal and consider what additional documents or explanations are required.

Immigration Applications

I do not know which status of residence I should apply for.

The appropriate status of residence is assessed by reviewing the applicant’s background, planned activities, employer, job duties, remuneration, family relationship, and previous application history. If you are unsure which status of residence may apply, please use a paid consultation or contact us through the inquiry form.

Can you guarantee approval?

Approval or refusal is determined through examination by the Immigration Services Agency of Japan, so approval cannot be guaranteed. Our office supports appropriate application preparation by organizing the document situation, activity details, company-side materials, and points that may require attention during examination.

Can you handle a case even if the period of stay is close to expiring?

Depending on the circumstances, we may be able to assist even when the expiration date is near. However, when a case is very close to the deadline, the time available for collecting documents and considering the application strategy is limited, which may narrow the available options. Early consultation is recommended.

Can I consult about a reapplication after refusal?

Yes. For a reapplication after refusal, it is necessary to review the reasons for refusal, the previous application documents, notices from immigration, and the current circumstances. Rather than simply submitting the same documents again, we consider the strategy after identifying and organizing the issues.

Foreign Employment

What should a company check when hiring a foreign national?

A company needs to check the person’s status of residence, period of stay, work authorization, job duties, employment contract, remuneration, business activities of the company, and social insurance and tax-related matters. In particular, the relationship between the job duties and the applicant’s academic or professional background is important.

Is caution required when renewing a period of stay after changing jobs?

Yes. After changing jobs, a renewal application may involve a fresh review of the new employer’s business activities, job duties, employment conditions, and the relationship with the applicant’s background. Whether the required notification of job change was filed and the applicant’s previous work history may also be reviewed.

Can you also review company-side documents?

Yes. Depending on the application, we may review documents such as a company profile, certificate of registered matters, financial statements, statutory record total table, employment contract, and job description.

Specified Skilled Worker and Registered Support Organization

Can I consult about accepting Specified Skilled Worker employees?

Yes. We review matters such as the industry sector, job duties, employment form, support system, council membership, and the accepting company’s legal compliance status. It is important not only to confirm whether there is a candidate, but also whether the accepting company can properly accept the person under the system.

Can I request support outsourcing to your office as a registered support organization?

Our office is registered as a registered support organization. Depending on the case, we can discuss support outsourcing, regular interviews, periodic reports, and operation of the support plan.

Can I consult about cooperation with overseas sending organizations or recruitment agencies?

Yes. However, the points to be checked differ depending on the country, job category, recruitment scheme, accepting company’s system, and legal compliance status. If you are considering specific cooperation, please share an outline of the proposed arrangement in advance.

Office Visit and Contact

Can I have a consultation at your office?

Office consultations are generally by appointment only. Depending on the consultation details, we may ask you to send documents in advance so that we can review them before your visit.

Where is the office entrance?

Our office is located at 102, THE HUB Yokohama Motomachi. The building has more than one entrance. The visitor entrance is on the north side, facing the river. A useful landmark is that it is opposite the Kitakata Ramen Ban Nai restaurant.

Can I consult in a language other than Japanese?

We can respond in Japanese and English. However, where accurate confirmation of documents or legal procedures is required, we may ask for translated documents or additional explanations as needed.
