About this mini test

This page is a simple self-check page for people who want to work in Japan in the long-term care field under the Specified Skilled Worker status.

Important: This mini test was created independently by Tommy’s Legal Service for learning support. It is not an official exam. It does not guarantee success in the official exam or approval of a visa application.

In the long-term care field, passing the care skills test, care Japanese language test, and Japanese language test is important. Even after passing the tests, your current status, care facility, job duties, employment contract, support system, and application documents must be checked carefully.

What is the SSW Caregiver field?

The Specified Skilled Worker Caregiver field is for people who work in long-term care facilities and related workplaces in Japan.

However, whether your employer is an eligible care facility and whether your actual job duties are covered by the SSW Caregiver field must be checked before applying.

How to read your score

8 to 10 points You have a good basic understanding. Please continue studying with official learning materials.
5 to 7 points You have some basic knowledge, but should review care Japanese, communication, infection prevention, and reporting.
0 to 4 points Please review basic terms and official learning materials before trying again.

What to check after passing the exam

Even after passing the exams, there are important points to check for a Certificate of Eligibility application or a change of status application.

1. Applicant Current status of residence, period of stay, past applications, refusals, exam results, and Japanese test status.
2. Care facility Eligible facility, actual job duties, employment contract, salary, and acceptance system.
3. Documents Exam certificate, employment contract, support plan, facility documents, and applicant documents.
4. Screening trends Field-specific rules, additional document requests, legal updates, and acceptance conditions.
